Started below Canal at first light, when the avenues are still wet and the delivery trucks own the curb. Street work until ten, mostly waiting for people to walk into good light.

Midday went underground. The L platform at Union Square has a silver glow when a train pulls in - long exposures, commuters as smears of colour.

Ended looking up. The Art Deco limestone on 42nd against a hard blue sky, shot until the sun dropped behind the glass next door.
